Finding Grace in Addiction

Through personal experience and theological reflection, Finding Grace in Addiction will explore the good news of Alcoholics Anonymous and 12 step recovery. The presentation will draw on personal and pastoral experiences in keeping with the anonymity of recovery ministry. Put more simply, what the church can learn from AA and vice versa.
Tom Hotchkiss was born and raised in Washington, D.C. and attended Vanderbilt University (B.A.), Fuller Theological Seminary (M.A.), and Virginia Theological Seminary (M.Div.). Tom has been in full-time ministry for over 35 years, was ordained in the Episcopal Church and has served parishes in Tennessee, Alabama, and Houston & Dallas, Texas. Most recently, Tom moved to Dallas, Texas to serve as Vicar on the staff of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church & School. Tom loves God and loves people and in ministry enjoys the opportunity to witness firsthand the intersection of God’s love for God’s people. Tom is married to Marcia Wheat of Memphis and they have two adult sons.
