I remember a dance party recently for my daughter. It took a few brave souls to get on the dance floor first. Then others swarmed the floor.
As we enter the week leading up to the triumphal entry, I am reminded of the many crowds who gathered to hear Jesus’ teaching. Who were the first ones to wait for him? Did they camp out all night to be in the front of the line? Who was pushing to get closer, to hear more clearly? Did the crowd cheer?
My prayer today is to know how to be part of the crowd gathering for Jesus. Imagine the crowd:
What does it take for the crowd to gather for Jesus today?
What message do we need to hear?
How does Jesus respond?
How do we follow?
Give thanks to God for this time in prayer and for any new insights you have received.
With a grateful heart,
