“This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” Matt. 3:17

Before Jesus embarks on his wilderness journey, a voice from heaven speaks forth and reminds Jesus that he is loved and accepted for who he truly is.

As you continue your Lenten journey, pause for a moment and ponder the words spoken to Jesus.  I invite you to take those words for yourself.  Can you receive that you are wholly loved and that God is pleased with you?

Reflect upon…

  • How has God shown love to me today?
  • How might reflecting on this love help me to remain faithful throughout my Lenten journey?
  • When or where have I felt alone or isolated from his love today?
  • How might knowing I am loved enable me to see this situation differently?

Holy One, I receive your love and go forth today knowing that you are well pleased with me.
